I can’t tell without looking at the cameras and watching what steps you’re taking, Ellie.
Here are 3 steps we can take to get things in a better place so that the videos are of the greatest use to the players, coaches, and fans.
1. Use Trello – You’ll Find Good Tips and Doing So Helps Us All Keep Track
Use Trello for every event – dual match and tournament. You’ll find the checklists for each match listed on the Trello cards very helpful for managing the cameras and uploading video – they are the best practices based on years of doing this work.
In addition, it let’s everyone involved in the work know who is doing what step.
2. Speed Test from Your Home Network
Uploading from your home network must be so much slower than using the campus network.
Please go to this page and take the speedtest:
Click the Begin test button.
Then click the “Share button”.
Copy the link and send it to me via email.
3. Let’s Meet Thursday @ 1 pm at the SJU tennis office
Tomorrow I can meet you at the tennis office to show you how to greatly decrease the time it takes to upload videos. I have a few other items I’d like to share with you about the playlists and the YouTube file naming convention.
