The ball head is an optional accessory to connect the camera to a fixed mount if you are not using the monopod. 32 GB of RAM is plenty for several hours of tennis. The reason to have a spare memory chip is to allow you to switch the memory chip out to work on one video while the camera is in use on the court using another memory chip.
