Pics of Rafa’s First RoundMatch

Have a look at pics taken of Rafael Nadal during his Round 1
match versus Bernard Tomic at the 2014 Australian
Open.

This was Rafa’s first match in Rod Laver Arena since the 2012
final against Novak Djokovic. During the interview at the end
of the match he said

the feelings that the last night I played here, that final,
even though I lost it was one of the best matches of my
career.

It was a hot hot night. Uncomfortable for the spectators so
can’t begin to imagine what it was like on the court for the
players. The match only lasted for one set until Bernie retired
due to a leg injury. Although it would have been nice to see
more tennis, I was happy to see a set of Rafa.
