Ever Wonder How a Tennis Ball is Made?

Watch this video for a behind-the-scenes look at how a tennis ball is manufactured.

Manufacturing processes fascinate me, especially with familiar objects. Tennis balls have been a familiar object in my life – just look in my garage, the back of my car, or the reason my tennis bag could be 12 lbs lighter any given week – for the last 35+ years.

Make no mistake about it – whether you use Wilson (as shown depicted in the video), Penn, Dunlop, Gamma, Slazenger or any other brand of tennis ball – the process to make a can of these pressurized projectiles involves many involved chemical and mechanical processes, as the video shows.
