About JTT and the Swarthmore Smash
The Philadelphia Area Junior Team Tennis (JTT) League is a travel league that allows tennis teams to compete throughout the Philadelphia area.
Coach Bill Ringle will leading the 18-and-under advanced JTT co-ed team. During the 2012 season, the Swarthmore Smash finished first in our league and #1 in the Philadelphia district (PATD). We represented our district in the USTA sectional playoffs in Princeton, NJ.
Our lineup included:

- Lauren Degnan, Tess Ginn, Meredith Hughes, Jade Phillips, Jenny White
This is a Philadelphia area-wide league, but each division will be divided into flights based geographically.
Season
The Spring JTT season runs mid-May through the end of June.
Our practices will start on Wednesday, May 1, and run from 5-6:30 pm. The matches will be on Saturdays, early afternoon, starting in mid-May. Match schedule dates are not yet posted, but as soon as they are that info will be passed along to players and parents.
Spring Format
The format is modified World Team Tennis. Each match will consist of one set each of boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, girls doubles, and a mixed doubles match. We will need at least 3 boys and 3 girls to play each match, as a player can play in no more than 2 matches.
USTA Membership
USTA Membership is required for all divisions, which is only $19/year, or less if you apply for multiple year memberships. You must have a USTA membership number that is valid through July 1, 2013 to sign up for this JTT team.
The regular season registration fee covers the league fee, matches, online administration, team shirts, awards, court fees, and practice sessions.
