Agnieszka Radwanska played the set of the tournament on Day
10, a mind-bending romp that saw her bagel Victoria
Azarenka, and Twitter took notice.

Most people were speechless as they watched
Agnieszka Radwanska, aka “The Ninja,”
slap a third-set bagel on two-time defending champion
Victoria Azarenka in Day 10’s second women’s
singles quarterfinal at the Australian Open, but miraculously,
many of those tongue-tied journalists and tennis fans and
sports enthusiasts managed to summon the strength to type out
140 words or less into their laptop or mobile keyboards so that
their shock and awe could be transmitted to Twitter.
Radwanska Upsets Azarenka with
Sensational Quarterfinal Performance
I myself could only spit out the words “Dear Aga, I love
you I love you I love you,” and I assure you that my
tweets are normally far more coherent, incisive and even
sometimes pertinent. But for some reason, I could only blurt
out what I realized was my undying affection for Radwanska, who
played some of the most crafty, sublime and downright cute
tennis that I do believe I ever witnessed.
Such is the spell that the Ninja puts us under…
I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Here are some of the
tweets I collected during that fabled third-set bagel.

At times it seemed upwards of ten, maybe 20, and all
capable of topspin lobs.
How many Radwanskas are out there? Seriously.

It’s what she does…
Ho hum, just a running lob volley winner after the ball
gets past you. Everyday stuff in the world of
Radwanska.

Nothing against you Stan, but it truly was.
The shock and the performance of the tournament all in
one—Aga bageling Vika in the 3rd. Amazing. #ausopen— Steve Tignor (@SteveTignor) January

But at least you tried to put it into
words…
I’d say that was amazing, but that’s so understating
the case.— Tom Perrotta (@TomPerrotta) January

Amen to that, and to more!
Incredible, transcendent performance from Radwanska in
the latter stages of a slam against a top, top player. At
last.— Tumaini (@tumcarayol) January

Never before has a clinic been so damn
entertaining!
This is an absolute clinic from Radwanska. Wow. Up 5-0
in the fifth and the two-time defending champ is about to go
down. #ausopen— Beyond The Baseline (@SI_BTBaseline)

I told you—people were freaking out.
Seriously what the hell is happening? That was one of
the most incredible games of tennis I’ve ever seen any human
play. Wow.— Brodie (@MindTheRacket)

Perfect, Pammie. Well said.
“There’s a Genie on the other side of the draw. There’s
a genius on this side.” #Radwanska

Darren Cahill bringing the nickname to
the masses, good on ya, mate.
This is beyond Ninja tennis from Aga!

Genie in a bottle, Ninja in a box.
Sure.
Some of these Radwanska shots belong in a box filled
with plastic peanuts. Such delicate touch…— Jon Wertheim (@jon_wertheim) January

Enough tweets? How about a clip or two of the real thing. But be
warned: some viewers have suffered side effects such as
dizziness, nausea, and random tweeting.
