Andy Murray has been flat-out awesome in
Melbourne. He’s erased a lot of doubt about his fitness due to
his back surgery last September by storming out of the gates at
the Australian Open and playing confident, assertive tennis. He
hasn’t dropped a set en route to the round of 16, and the only
time he trailed by a large margin in a set, his response was to
win 23 straight points against Vincent Millot
of France.
Watch: Nick Kyrgios and Denis
Istomin hit mind-blowing hot shots
But he hasn’t been that awesome. Just take a look at this serve
and you’ll see what I mean. Talk about your epic shanks! This
one is miraculously good.
Despite the shank, Murray defeated Feliciano
Lopez, 7-6(2), 6-4, 6-2, on Day 6. He will face
Frenchman Stephane Robert in the round of
16.
