College Tennis Tips for High School Players

In researching for my upcoming book, Be A Champ: Using the Life Lessons of Tennis for More Success On Court and In Life, I spoke with dozens of NCAA college coaches as well as highly ranked USTA players who are now on college teams. Also, I’ve been using online resources for the past 2 years to identify a great college fit for my son Nicholas, who, like you, wants to get a great education, contribute to a strong college tennis program, and continue to build and strengthen his game.

  1. Make simple choices about the college program, first. Choosing a college isn’t easy and few experiences have prepared you for making such a big decision. So my advice is to make some of the easy choices first, starting with what you want/don’t want to study, where you want to go to college, and how large of a school you want to attend. 
    1. If you enjoy and are good at a subject in high school, that’s a pretty good indicator of a college major to pursue. So, if you are great at writing papers, a
